El ajo normal, también conocido como ajo blanco, es una planta aromática perteneciente a la familia de las liliáceas. Se caracteriza por sus bulbos compuestos por varios dientes envueltos en una piel delgada y blanca. Es ampliamente utilizado en la cocina debido a su sabor fuerte y aroma distintivo.
El ajo normal se utiliza como condimento en una amplia variedad de platos, incluyendo guisos, sopas, salsas, adobos, marinadas, salteados y asados. También puede consumirse crudo en ensaladas o salsas para aprovechar al máximo su sabor.
Almacenamiento
El ajo normal debe almacenarse en un lugar fresco, seco y bien ventilado, alejado de la luz directa del sol. Se puede conservar a temperatura ambiente durante varias semanas.
Evita almacenarlo en el refrigerador, ya que puede hacer que se vuelva blando o brote más rápidamente.

El ajo es originario de Asia Central y ha sido cultivado y utilizado en la cocina desde hace miles de años.
