La cebolla morada es una variedad de cebolla con piel de color morado intenso y carne de color blanco o morado claro. Tiene un sabor ligeramente más picante y dulce en comparación con otras variedades de cebolla, y se utiliza en una amplia variedad de platillos en la cocina.
La cebolla morada se utiliza cruda en ensaladas, salsas, guacamole, ceviches y tacos. También se puede cocinar en guisos, salteados y asados. Su color vibrante la hace especialmente atractiva como guarnición.
Almacenamiento
Las cebollas moradas deben almacenarse en un lugar fresco, oscuro y bien ventilado, como un sótano o despensa. Evite almacenarlas junto a papas, ya que pueden acelerar su deterioro.
