La cebolla cambray, también conocida como cebollita de verdeo o cebolleta, es una variedad de cebolla con tallos delgados y hojas verdes largas y delgadas. Tiene un sabor suave y es muy apreciada en la cocina.
La cebolla cambray se utiliza principalmente como condimento en ensaladas, sopas, guisos, salsas, salteados y platos a la parrilla. También se puede consumir cruda como guarnición o en vinagretas.
Almacenamiento
Las cebollas cambray deben almacenarse en el refrigerador, preferiblemente envueltas en papel de cocina o en una bolsa de plástico perforada.
Se consumen mejor dentro de unos días para mantener su frescura y sabor.
País de Origen
La cebolla cambray es originaria de Europa, pero se cultiva en muchas partes del mundo. Es especialmente popular en la cocina mediterránea y en América Latina.
