Las fresas confitadas son fresas frescas que se han sumergido en un jarabe de azúcar y luego se han secado para conservarlas. Este proceso de confitado preserva la fruta y le proporciona una textura dulce y pegajosa.
Se utilizan comúnmente como decoración en repostería y confitería. También se pueden consumir como un bocadillo dulce por sí solas o mezcladas con otras frutas secas y frutos secos en una mezcla de trail o como parte de una tabla de quesos.
Almacenamiento
Deben almacenarse en un lugar fresco y seco en un recipiente hermético para evitar que se endurezcan o se peguen. También se pueden refrigerar para prolongar su vida útil.
