La lechuga larga, también conocida como lechuga de hoja, es una variedad de lechuga de la especie Lactuca sativa. Se caracteriza por tener hojas sueltas y alargadas, en lugar de formar una cabeza compacta como otras variedades de lechuga. Tiene un sabor suave y una textura crujiente, siendo una opción popular en ensaladas y otros platos frescos.
La lechuga larga es versátil en la cocina y se puede utilizar de varias formas. Se consume principalmente en ensaladas, tanto como ingrediente principal como complementario. También se puede utilizar para envolver rellenos, agregar a sándwiches, wraps, tacos y otros platos frescos. Sus hojas crujientes y refrescantes la hacen ideal para platos veraniegos.
Almacenamiento
Para mantener la frescura de la lechuga larga, es mejor almacenarla en el refrigerador.
Se recomienda lavar y secar las hojas antes de guardarlas en una bolsa de plástico perforada o un recipiente hermético con papel de cocina para controlar la humedad.
