El anís estrella es una especia obtenida del fruto del árbol Illicium verum, originario de China y Vietnam. Se caracteriza por su forma de estrella con ocho puntas y su aroma dulce y ligeramente picante. Es ampliamente utilizado en la cocina asiática y también en la repostería y mixología occidental.
El anís estrella se utiliza en una variedad de platos y bebidas. En la cocina asiática, se agrega a sopas, guisos, adobos de carne y platos de pescado para dar sabor y aroma. En la repostería, se utiliza en la elaboración de galletas, panes, pasteles y postres. También se utiliza para aromatizar licores y cócteles.
Almacenamiento
Para mantener su frescura y sabor, el anís estrella se debe almacenar en un recipiente hermético en un lugar fresco, oscuro y seco, alejado de la luz solar directa y la humedad.
Se mantendrá fresco durante varios meses si se almacena adecuadamente.
