Información del Producto
La semilla de chía es una pequeña semilla comestible de la planta Salvia hispanica, originaria de América Central y del Sur. Tiene un alto contenido de fibra, proteínas, ácidos grasos omega-3 y varios nutrientes esenciales, lo que la convierte en un superalimento popular.
Se puede consumir cruda o remojada en líquidos como agua, leche o jugo, donde adquiere una textura gelatinosa. Se utiliza en batidos, yogures, pudines, ensaladas, horneados y como espesante en sopas y salsas.
Almacenamiento
Debe almacenarse en un lugar fresco y seco, preferiblemente en un recipiente hermético para protegerla de la humedad y los insectos.
Las semillas de chía tienen una larga vida útil y pueden conservarse durante varios años si se almacenan adecuadamente.
País de Origen
La chía se cultivaba principalmente en México y América Central por las antiguas civilizaciones mesoamericanas, como los aztecas y los mayas.
