La semilla de alfalfa es la semilla de la planta Medicago sativa, conocida comúnmente como alfalfa. Es una leguminosa rica en nutrientes, incluyendo proteínas, vitaminas, minerales y antioxidantes, y se utiliza en una variedad de aplicaciones culinarias y medicinales.
Se utiliza para germinar brotes de alfalfa, que se pueden agregar a ensaladas, sándwiches, wraps, batidos y platos de cocina oriental. También se puede moler y agregar a productos horneados, como panes y galletas, para aumentar su contenido nutricional.
Almacenamiento
Debe almacenarse en un lugar fresco y seco, preferiblemente en un recipiente hermético para protegerla de la humedad y los insectos. Las semillas de alfalfa germinarán mejor si se almacenan en un ambiente fresco y húmedo antes de su uso.
País de Origen
La alfalfa es originaria de Asia Central y ha sido cultivada por sus propiedades nutricionales y medicinales desde la antigüedad.
